The restoration of 26 Church Street is aimed to showcase the economic viability of restoring such shop houses for modern adaptive resue.

The Trust is confident that its expereince in such adaptive reuse restoration will spring-board the main-streaming of conservation consciousness, particularly critical for the listing of George Town as a World Heritage Site.

The merticulous and painstaking restoration of the building was made possible, primararily through financial support by Amerian Express, through the World Monuments Watch, a programme of the World Monuments Fund.
